Tom “Blues Man” Hunter’s new CD titled DOWN IN THE BOTTOMS, is filled with original down-home blues. The title song, “DOWN IN THE BOTTOMS”, is all about Tom’s memories about the farm life he lived as a boy during America’s struggles during the second World War. He also writes and sings about some of the people he’s know over the years.
The first cut on the CD, “I’M BURNT OUT”, tells the sad saga of the state of our country today. “GULF COAST STOMP” is a lively tune hoping to inspire your inner spirit to get up and learn the simple dance step. And there are songs such as “WHAT YOU MEAN TO ME”, “I CAN FIX IT” and “ROLL WITH THE PUNCH” that show a tenderside and understanding to the often misunderstood lives of our female counterparts.
In addition to writing and singing the songs on this CD, Tom also played Bass, Rhythm and some laid-back Lead Guitar with an occasional sting! He is also joined by Dino Jones (drums) and Mark Solis (Piano & Organ) who helped provide the driving rhythmic force on these tunes.
